Give1Save1--only 24 hours to go

It has been a crazy week.
  • Brian left for Congo a week ago today and returned Wednesday.
  • My mother-in-law flew in Saturday to babysit me and the kids and then flew out Thursday.
  • It was the longest work week of ALL TIME......(OK, not any longer than usual, but it dragged a bit).
  • One of my babies got malaria.
  • There's a glitch in our paperwork and we have no clue when we will be bringing them home.
  • We had a huge plumbing issue in our kitchen.
  • I got to see the first glimpse of my babies on video!
I am beat.  But so very inspired.  This week was a lot of testing of my faith, and a huge chunk of evidence that God wants my baby girls home just as much as I do.  We have been featured since Sunday as the Give1Save1.com Africa Family of the Week.  Which means that people from all over the place have had a chance to see a video of my family and then donate to our adoption fund. Well, all I can say about this opportunity is WOW.  Strangers (along with dearest friends and family) have sent us at current count $3575.  WOW.  People from all over the country have been sharing our link and sharing our story.  WOW!

Now we have just a little over 24 hours left (until Sunday morning) to make that total even bigger.  Can you help us?  Can you share our link, share this blog post, or share a few of your hard earned dollars to make our family a little more complete.

When Brian walked in the door on Wednesday night Grace ran up to him, but the stopped in her tracks and started crying.  "Where are my sisters?"  She was a wreck. I thought I have make it clear that Daddy was just going to visit the babies, but they still wouldn't be home for a few weeks.  I'm sure it won't last once they start to walk and touch her stuff, but at this minute Grace is absolutely madly in love with her new baby girls.  They can't come home soon enough.

And you can help make it possible.

Please remember none of the money contributed goes into our pockets. You are helping to take two baby girls out of an orphanage. You are giving them a family; brothers, sister, parents. You are insuring they will have a life with three meals a day.  A chance at an education.  Access to medical care.  Shoes on their feet.  Warm water in their tubby.  So many things that we take for granted.  You are making it possible.  So if you have hesitated to donate up until now, please consider what these girls lives would be like if they never left the orphanage.  Would they even be alive this time next year?  You are truly saving lives and making dreams come true.
If you are one of the amazing people out there who has donated already I can't thank you enough.  If you have shared our story, please do it one more time in the next 24 hours.  Maybe one new person will see your message and this will be the moment that touches their heart.
And when our week at Give1Save1 is over please keep visiting that site and donating a dollar every week.  Because I can tell you from personal experience that when I see the name of a stranger on my list of donors it fills me with this extra special sense of joy.  There are good people in the world doing good things, just because.
Thank you all for being those good people.  Thank you for helping me bring home two new baby girls to fill up my home and my heart.
And Grace thanks you, too!!!
