So I am recycling a post from Novemeber of 2008. This was my very second post from when I started the blog 3 years ago. It is called "15 Things I'm Not Afraid to Admit". Tomorrow night I'll give you my updated version of the list.
15 Things I'm Not Afraid to Admit
My friend Alicia has tagged me so here goes. My deepest, darkest, secrets!!!
1. Grace is the most amazing thing I have ever done with my life. I wish that we had started the adoption process sooner, but if we had we wouldn't have been given Grace and she is the perfect fit in our family.
2. I have the best husband ever. I know some of you out there think that you have the best one, but you're wrong, I have him. Brian is a stay-at-home dad who gets up every morning and makes me breakfast and tea before I go to work, instead of sleeping in with Grace. Beat that!
3. I am a huge Star Trek fan. Original, Next Generation, the movies. Jean Luc is my favorite. I basically love all things science fiction!
4. I like to eat Peeps roasted over my gas stove.
5. I wear the same thing to work each day--khaki pants and theatre t-shirt. It is better if I don't have to make important decisions (like what matches and what doesn't) before 10am.
6. I am an NPR junkie! I even listen to This American Life on the weekends.
7. I do not like to fold clothes. I like all my clothes to be hung up in the closet.
8. I hate to drive. If I were super rich I would want a chaffeur.
9. Ok, I also hate to clean house. I could really use a maid.
10. And, I can't cook to save my life. Basically, I have no domestic skills. I am a very inept wife!
11. However, I do like to sew and I'm pretty good at it. But it is not exactly a skill that you need to survive nowadays.
12. I read all the Harry Potter books and I have a collection of Harry Potter figurines.
13. I also have a collection of vintage hats hanging all over the walls of my house. There are over 100 hats and boy do they need to be dusted.
14. I am not afraid of rats, mice, spiders, germs. I am afraid of dentists, and talking on the phone. That's why I never call you.
15. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful life, wonderful family, wonderful friends, and a new wonderful baby on the way
