Just before school started we decided to take the kids to a professional baseball game. The kids got in free and we bought the cheapest seats we could for us. Baseball, at least in our hometown, is a real bargain compared to other sports. When we told Grace we were going to see a game she was very excited. She had been watching Chicken Little lately and there is a baseball game scene in it that she loves to quote. So she kept telling Brian "Take the walk, Daddy, just take the walk". Hilarious.
Of course, by the time we got to the stadium she was bound and determined not to have a good time. Is she a teenager already?
No I will not smile and I am a little afraid of this giant ball!
No, I am not pinching her.
But once we got inside both kids just loved it.
Honestly, they had fun. Right after I got out the portable DVD player.
Well, maybe next summer!
